Agne Kisonaite
I make paintings, portraits and installations, many of them from things people throw away: lipstick tubes, plastic straws, insulin syringes, shattered screens.
Born in Lithuania. I studied graphic, visual and interior design at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. My work has been shown in Vilnius, Klaipėda, New York, Seoul, Busan, Paris, Barcelona and Hong Kong.
I live with diabetes, and part of my work is about it: a sculpture from used insulin syringes, a collage from glucose test strips, a portrait of Oskar Minkowski from used insulin pens.
