Hope
Description
In a world on the verge of chaos, with war, hatred and insecurity looming, hope is our most vital asset. Hope is a call to recognise the goodness within us and to express love and compassion freely. I painted it in 2022: a white swan, a symbol of beauty, exploration and optimism, against a calm sky-blue background.
The swan is poised for flight, its gaze fixed on the horizon, wings unfurling – it holds faith in the future and looks boldly ahead. I hope it gives at least a little more faith that one day even the darkest clouds will disperse and the blue sky will appear again. Acrylic on canvas, 80 × 130 cm. The original has found its home; this print is reproduced from it.
