Humility

Description
The idea for Humility came from a photo I saw online. The woman posing for the photographer was nothing out of the ordinary, but her gaze captivated me, and I painted the picture and named it Humility. Looking for words for the finished painting, I found this in the Lithuanian encyclopaedia: the purpose of humility is to keep the balance between respect for oneself and respect for another.
That fits my work in general – I always look for balance, harmony and aesthetics. A large canvas in warm, calming colours: acrylic, 120 × 170 cm, 2022. The original has found its home; this print is reproduced from it.
