Author about „Titmouse“: “The birds theme is not alien to me - I observe and draw them from my youth. Lithuanian birds are very diverse in terms of their twittering melodies, appearance
and character. I like to sketch them in my style by breaking the planes, splitting the volume, but I always strive the drawn birds to be recognizable at first sight. I admire the colours of the birds and when painting I do not avoid to further enhance this intensity.”
In winter birds give the nature a contrasting brightness and the author was given the inspiration for a new work. The titmouse first landed on the linen rug design, later was transferred to reproduction. A square painting is unpretentious and easily matching; it will look great both on the wall and on the shelf.
