Portrait of Julija

Julija’s portrait was commissioned by her mother for a special occasion. She comes across as very reserved, calm and cultured – that is what I can read in her face without knowing her personally. Her fair hair, blowing romantically in the wind, is painted in pastel colours and, it seems to me, reflects her very truly. Her expressive blue eyes and the pose of her head reveal her character, which I painted with sensitive brushstrokes. Both she and her family were very happy when they saw Julija’s portrait.
