Agne, the artist of the piece, says, “When I just started creating, I naturally chose women, accessories and birds as the main objects of painting. The first piece was a crane – a gift for Mom painted on cardboard! To be frank, I didn't take the bird theme seriously at that time – paintings were born on their own when the inspiration came.
At the time I did not imagine that I would be hosting the art rugs exhibition Birds in 8 years. Here I exhibited only Lithuanian birds.”

Crane was also the first painting Agne created for a design for a handmade linen rug. This piece was a success and was shown at exhibitions around the world, including Domotex in Hanover, IMM Cologne in Cologne, and Maison et object in Paris. In 2015 Crane received the national Good Design Award. The painting features elements of art deco, while the single-colour square, broken shapes and volume reflect modernity. It was decided to leave the original piece in the creator's family, but reproductions already decorate several homes of bird lovers.

The quality of the reproduction is exceptional – to create the print, the original painting is photographed with a special technique and the photo transferred onto extremely high-quality paper. All reproductions are signed by the author.
